About Hammock Beach
Just a few miles south of St. Augustine, Fla., in Palm Coast, on
1,000 acres Hammock Beach is being developed on one of the last
major tracts of undeveloped oceanfront on Florida’s east coast,
offering 2.4 miles of beach frontage and a multi-level water and
swim pavilion with spectacular ocean views. It is planned to be
one of the most lavish amenities enhanced communities in the
nation featuring a 213-slip Marina named Yacht Harbor Village, a
world-class fitness center and spa, elegant restaurants,
Signature golf by Tom Watson and extensive recreational and
social facilities.
The 76-acre Yacht Harbor Village at Hammock Beach is a
Mediterranean-themed enclave of 205 single-family homesites and
88 condominiums, all overlooking the marina or the Intracoastal
Waterway. Distinctive Mediterranean and Spanish Renaissance
Revival architecture, echoing the style of Florida’s “first
golden age” a century ago, is featured in the Hammock Beach
selection of single-family homes and villas, all with ocean,
golf or water views. The master plan for the entire development
calls for a total of 479 homesites.
The centerpiece of the
community is Ginn Hammock Beach Resort, a 12-story luxury
condominium complex overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the 18th
hole of the Ocean Course at Ginn Hammock Beach Resort. The Club features
392 resort rooms.
The Conservatory at Hammock Beach will feature 340 custom homesites, Spanish Renaissance-style architecture and a grand
glass-enclosed nature conservatory Clubhouse that will serve as
the community centerpiece and private social venue. All custom
homesites will offer picturesque views of the community’s
private 18-hole woodlands golf course, a Signature course
designed by legendary professional golfer Tom Watson.
About PGA TOUR Champions Tour
The Champions Tour is a tax-exempt membership organization of
professional golfers age 50 and older. Conceived in 1980 as the
Senior PGA Tour, it started with just four events and purses
totaling $475,000. The Champions Tour now has 28 official
Charles Schwab Cup events (plus Bank of America Championship
which was cancelled due to rain) offering a minimum of $50.95
million in prize money in 2006 and its highest average purse
ever of $1.82 million. The Champions Tour’s primary purpose is
to provide significant competitive and earnings opportunities
for players age 50 and older; to protect the integrity of the
game; and to help grow the reach of the game in the U.S. and
around the world. In addition to providing competitive
opportunities for its membership, Champions Tour events also
generate significant sums of money for charity. On October 30th,
2005 the PGA TOUR, Champions Tour and Nationwide Tour and their
tournaments announced they had reached the $1 billion milestone
in charitable donations dating back to the first recorded
donation in 1938. The commissioner of the PGA TOUR is Tim
Finchem. Rick George is president of the Champions Tour. TOUR
headquarters is in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Our Web site
address is PGATOUR.com.
